Personal landscape

            As for the features of the technique of my work, the specific representation in the course of the work is in the clear and the rest of the stuff is erased. So, eventually certain and uncertain things are intended to be coexist on one screen. For that I selected the theme of objects that can be easily witnessed around us. It is something minor, such as trees and street trees planted for the fine view of streets. After selecting the theme, I prepared average about 100 sheets of digital images that were personally shot or acquired online. Using the graphics program, I stacked these images over and over again to minutely adjust their transparency. Then, images below were overlapped with above ones to be unclear.

            More important thing than that is clearly represented to overlap in my work is to make the scenery of the surrounding except the topic certainly unclear. It is the same logic in the art of modeling principles to kill something in order to emphasis it. As a result, those single vivid representations appeared in my work are everyday landscapes such as trees and street trees that are easily seen by us but actually do not draw our attention in the radius of our lives.

            My previous works were mainly that I have dealt with the representation of social and economic power, but in this work, I put the interest in a field of our life that can be easily witnessed from anywhere around us. Actually, under the workflows that I edit the digital image in the graphics program, to suppress the sensitivity and emotional part of the writer in a significant portion, I mechanically represent the landscape and do not look at the landscape in emotional. So, it is true that it is useful for me to interpret in a little more realistic way. My working method for representing the personal landscape in the way of mechanical representation is also my desire to try to express the landscape that I overlook in a little more wonderful way using the modeling approach of art.
